Sargasso Dragon
Genus: Draco
Species: sp.

Coloration: Unknown
Range: Formerly the Sargasso Sea in the Atlantic but now extinct

The Sargasso was the only aquatic species of dragon. They became extinct recently and lived on a diet of fish and seaweed. The extinction is thought to have been caused by the male, who in the Sargasso hatched the chicks in his pouch. As brood sizes increased, the male found it harder to escape from danger. The ultra-observant Dr. Drake saw an 8 foot male at 10 o'clock on the 18th of Febuary, 1899. It was 17 years old. The good doctor concluded from its attraction to the seaweed bait, breath of purple ink instead of fire and inability to breathe air that it may have been a pseudo-dragon.
